After an afternoon with Lavender Lemonade, I felt inspired to share this wonderful summer drink with you. I got the recipe from “The Way of the Happy Woman” book which is infused with seasonal activities and recipes to get into sync with nature’s rhythm. It makes me wonder what the different seasons in Hawaii will be like. Maybe I get to enjoy this summer drink all year? I can handle that.
Enjoy!

Recipe By: The Way of the Happy Woman
Serving Size: 4
This refreshing tonic won’t sap your energy during the midafternoon heat. For a more festive version use sparking, rather than spring water.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup lavender, dried
2 cups boiling water
1/4 cup agave
8 lemons
5 cups cool water
Directions:
1. Place lavender in a bowl, and pour the boiling water over it. Steep for 10 minutes. Strain out the lavender and discard it.
2. Mix agave into the hot lavender water.
3. Juice the lemons in a pitcher, and add the cool water and hot lavender water.
4. Refrigerate for about an hour, or serve right away over ice.
